Initial Investment Overview

The largest portion of your franchise investment typically goes toward inventory, which can be adjusted based on your store’s size and budget. While costs related to building upgrades and location preparation vary depending on square footage, site, and local labor rates, and are not included here, below is a list of essential estimated expenses to help you understand the typical upfront investment needed to launch your franchise.

Inventory

Your starting inventory will depend on your focus—whether your store caters more to fashionable riders or die-hard bikers. The local climate also plays a role in determining product selection.

Interior Walls

We estimate the cost to include 2×6 gridwall panels mounted on finished surfaces (painted, textured, or wallpapered). These create a clean and versatile space to display your gear.

16′ POS Kiosk

This center island serves as the retail hub. Carpeted and raised, it features eight black ¾-view showcases in an octagonal layout, two register stations, and two customer access points. The K-Plan version may include an overhead frame for extra displays.

Display Racks

Includes straight bars, four-way racks, and tiered racks built to showcase apparel, purses, and accessories in an organized, high-impact way.

Exterior Signage

A channel letter sign featuring the Renegade Classics logo will identify your store loud and clear. Size depends on your storefront and city codes. Optional gooseneck lighting adds classic biker charm. The K-Plan may include a smaller or two-sided version.

Video Surveillance

Security is essential. This estimate includes cameras to monitor merchandise and team activity. The franchisor must be granted limited access to this system.

In-Store Video Screen

This ceiling-mounted screen displays promotional content in a continuous loop—from product videos and how-tos to franchise support clips and in-store deals. Content is curated by the Renegade Classics team.

Marketing Launch Kit

Covers everything from your grand opening campaign to setting up social media pages, local radio and TV ads, and optional billboard placements. First impressions matter—and this kit helps you make a bold one.

Mannequins

Includes two full-size male mannequins, two full-featured female mannequins, one plus-size mannequin, plus busts and form hangers for versatile merchandising. K-Plan setups may use busts only.

Operational Essentials

Includes hangers, sign holders, shopping bags, paper supplies, and other items you’ll need to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Point of Sale & Computers

Estimate includes 2–4 systems: up to two POS register computers with receipt printers, cash drawers, and card readers; one back-office system with required software, laser and color printers; and a kiosk system for customer browsing. The kiosk system can be a repurposed computer mounted on a counter.

How the Investment Works

Franchisees purchase all fixtures and materials from approved vendors. Inventory is ordered directly through Renegade Classics. It’s essential to coordinate all purchases around your target Grand Opening date, some products may require extra lead time for production or delivery.
